‘Kill Me I Got You’ is the latest track from Mazey Haze. It’s a track that wouldn’t feel out of place amongst the haze (pardon the pun) of 60s psychedelic rock, with its prowling rhythms and bold, melodic vocal lines. Musically, the track marks a shift in approach, with the artist choosing to wander down that more organic, rocky route, with the influence of French and Italian cinema creeping in. Lyrically, she says: “It’s about how the search for a profound, real connection with other people can be confusing, lonely and complicated. Why do I ‘kill’ myself to be who someone else wants me to be just so I can be with them?". Her new EP, Back To The Start, is due for release on April 7th, 2023 and she’ll be embarking on a headline tour of Europe that month. -Dan Peeke.
